how laboratory-grown diamonds are compared to mined diamonds

Ask a question: CEO of UrmyDiamond , Andrei Markov, answers all pressing questions about how memorial diamonds grown in the laboratory are compared with mined diamonds

Are laboratory-grown ashes diamonds real?

Natural diamonds are made from pure carbon below the earth’s surface. It is the hardest natural mineral on earth.

Diamonds grown in the laboratory are the result of an industrial process, not a geological process, but they are made from the same composition.

“Laboratory biomaterial diamonds are diamonds,” said Andrei.

“Despite their origin, the chemical, physical, and optical aspects of laboratory-grown diamonds are the same as those mined.”

They should not be confused with cubic zirconia.

Cubic zirconium is a synthetic material.

“Instead of being made from carbon, cubic zirconia is made from zirconia (ZrO2) (a material that is also used in dentistry to make crowns and bridges.”)

Are laboratory-grown diamonds more affordable?

“Yes, diamonds grown in the laboratory are usually 40-60% more affordable than mined diamonds,” Andrei said.

“You can get more for your money or save money depending on your preferences.

“ UrmyDiamond is vertically integrated and customer-oriented, so we have the most affordable options for laboratory growing and we offer a wide variety of colors, sizes and shapes — each one can be changed.”

What are the benefits of a lab-grown diamond from a dog’s ashes, for example?

According to Andrey, the benefits of lab-grown diamonds from a pet’s ashes in the laboratory range from accessibility to transparency in the supply chain.

“Grown in the laboratory is a new generation of diamonds that allows the consumer to calm down, knowing that there are no prohibited / unethical sources of labor behind production.”

Sustainability: “The benefits of laboratory-grown diamonds (not shown) range from accessibility to transparency in the supply chain”

Sustainability: “The benefits of engagement-grown diamonds in the laboratory range from accessibility to transparency in the supply chain.” Scientists grow near ideal diamonds in the laboratory.

How are they certified and evaluated?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires lab-labeled diamonds.

“Our diamonds are certified by third-party / independent laboratories such as the International Gemological Institute and the International Gemological Laboratories. In addition, the GIA has begun classifying laboratory-grown diamonds in recent years. ”

Why would you recommend buying a laboratory-grown personalized engagement ring diamond?

“For those who are looking for larger stones, this may be a way to achieve this without breaking the bank and not saving money for a wedding, honeymoon or home.

“For couples who are interested in living an environmentally friendly, more sustainable life (which we should all be!), This is a great way to do this,” he added.
